The pieces themselves are solid wood with the image somehow printed on them. It’s very solid and not a single piece bent or broke. However, the image itself was low quality.This puzzle came in a nice bag but seem to be put together in quadrants which defeats the purpose of doing a puzzle or you get a whole box or bag of pieces and put it together yourself.I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after my daughter ordered this puzzle to give to my husband for Christmas. First, it comes in a generic box - which has the images of other puzzle pictures on it (not the one that we had selected for the puzzle). But this is just the box - I shrugged this off and moved on.The worst thing about this puzzle is that ALL THE PIECES ARE THE SAME SHAPE. There is no distinguishing a puzzle piece from another by shape, so you are left to looking at minute shades of a color to figure out whether you are putting the puzzle in its right place. TERRIBLE experience.This is a worthless, horrible puzzle and I can't believe that anyone would sell this piece of garbage.This was a gift so not able to make any close up evaluations, but looked fine.puzzle literally came in 6 big pieces, put it together in 15 seconds. sturdy and made from wood not cardboard. very niceSame shape and sizeThis is a gift and did not come in a puzzle box.The puzzle was bought as a gift. When it arrived, the picture on the puzzle box was not what I ordered. I opened it and it was the right puzzle. Inside it was put together in large sections and had a poster like picture of the puzzle. It also had a mesh bag. I decided to keep it, but will take it apart, put the the pieces in the bag with the picture. I will have to find another box to put it in to wrap to give.
